VISIT KALBARRI NATIONAL PARK

Kalbarri National Park covers an area of 186,000 hectares, the rugged terrain, stunning views and relative seclusion of the park attracts thousands of visitors each year. The experienced hiker to the simple holiday maker are catered for with access to many different lookouts and hikes throughout the area. There is interpretive signage along with shade shelters, toilets and picnic facilities scattered through the park.
The township of Kalbarri is encircled by two distinctly different landscapes, both considered part of Kalbarri National Park . North east of town are the INLAND RIVER GORGES with rock formations as old as 400 million years, the south features towering COASTAL CLIFFS plummeting to the waves below. Both areas have a variety of lookouts and hiking trails which all have varying degrees of difficulty.

- Park Pass fees apply to Inland River Gorges, the Coastal Cliff areas are free to visit however.
- No dogs permitted in the Kalbarri National Park. It is not allowed to leave them inside vehicles in the park, travelling to and from the town site is of course fine on the main roads.
- No camping permitted in the Kalbarri National Park. There are no campgrounds in our National Park. Please contact Kalbarri Visitor Centre for information on camping options around Kalbarri.
- All areas of the Kalbarri National Park are 2WD access with sealed roads.
- No towing (e.g. caravans, trailers or boats) is permitted in the Inland National Park areas. Caravans can be unhitched in the designated bays in town or the extended bays at the Kalbarri Visitor Centre carpark.
- There are no closing times for the Kalbarri National Park, it is advised to visit during daylight hours for safety reasons due to the National Park being a cliff risk area and no artificial lighting located in the park.
